SMA Foundation Announces 2022-2023 Scholarship Recipients

AUSTIN—Southwest Movers Association (SMA) Foundation is pleased to announce the 2022-2023 scholarship recipients. This year, the Foundation awarded six scholarships totaling $25,500 to deserving students affiliated with SMA member companies. Since the scholarship program was established in 2000, the Foundation has awarded $235,500 in scholarships.
“Giving back to the moving community is one of the core missions of the SMA Foundation. Through the scholarship program, SMA Foundation can help ease the financial burden associated with higher education or vocational training. It brings us great pride to assist the families of SMA members,” said SMA Foundation Chairwoman Francey Beall.

The SMA Foundation is a non-profit educational, public relations, research and community service organization created to promote the moving industry in Texas. The SMA Foundation Scholarship Program offers financial education assistance to SMA member employers, their employees and their dependents. The foundation also assists in the funding and development of other programs designed to educate and inform movers and the general public about industry issues.
