SMA Foundation Announces 2020-2021 Scholarship Recipients

AUSTIN—Southwest Movers Association (SMA) Foundation is pleased to announce the 2021-2022 scholarship recipients. This year, the Foundation awarded five scholarships totaling $11,500 to deserving students affiliated with SMA member companies.
Since the scholarship program was established in 2000, the Foundation has awarded $210,000 in scholarships. “Helping students achieve their educational goals is one of the core missions of the SMA Foundation and we are happy to be able to give back to SMA members’ children and those employees associated with SMA that have given so much to the moving industry,” said SMA Executive Director John D. Esparza.

The SMA Foundation is a non-profit educational, public relations, research and community service organization created to promote the moving industry in Texas. The SMA Foundation Scholarship Program offers financial education assistance to SMA member employers, their employees and their dependents. The foundation also assists in the funding and development of other programs designed to educate and inform movers and the general public about industry issues.
